Есть видеоуроки, где носители языка учат задавать вопросы. Одна из учителей посоветовала правило "5Wh": все вопросы задавать с вопросительных слов, начинающихся с Wh: Who, Where, When, Which, Why. А дальше подстраиваетесь под ситуацию.
Например, она говорит, что она живет в Канаде. Великолепно. Вы продолжаете спрашивать: Где (where) конкретно учится девушка (Канада большая, учебных заведений много) . Затем, продолжаете: кто (who) учится вместе с ней, почему (why) она поехала учиться в Канаду, когда (when) начинается семестр, какой предмет (which) из изучаемых ей нравится и т. д....
