I both agree and disagree. On the one hand, in our modern age, communication by means of electronic devices has become an important part of socializing. And it is unsurprising, seeing how fast and easy this type of information exchange is. However, the universal obsession with chatting online, especially among teenagers, presents some very serious concerns in terms of negatively affecting a person\'s social skills outside of the Internet and cellphone networks. That is, live face-to-face socializing may have taken a back seat to the \'blue screen\', which I find scary (perhaps irrationally so). Excessive cellphone and computer use may have a detrimental effect on one\'s study and work productivity also, due to the ease of access to various entertainment services. It is well known you can\'t stop technological progress, and all attempts at curbing the spread of IT are undoubtedly futile; so I guess all we can do is wait and see what happens. It is very likely that at one point our world will become so thoroughly integrated with virtual reality there\'ll be no telling the two apart.
